Homecare Scheduler

Website The CareSide

If you are looking for an opportunity to let your Scheduling/Rostering talents shine, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Work in a supportive team environment, be recognized for your management skills, be valued for your creative thinking, and rewarded for your dedication.

The CareSide is rapidly growing and expanding into new communities across Australia. We are an approved Aged Care and NDIS service provider that focuses on delivering superior, personalized, quality home care services at affordable prices. Our mission is to make it possible for more senior and disabled Australians to remain healthy and independent while living in their homes. To make that happen we need passionate and caring individuals working together as a team towards that common goal. Our CareSide Schedulers are an essential part of that team.

This position is a vital administrative role that is responsible for coordinating the delivery of appropriate home care services to our clients and supporting our teams in the field. You will manage the scheduling and daily assignments of all home care visits including registered nurses, enrolled nurses, allied health professionals, and personal care workers. The CareSide is committed to meeting the scheduling needs of our valued clients and our staff. Our schedulers manage and coordinate client visits, matching the client’s needs with staff availability and suitability. This will require a working knowledge of home care services, critical thinking, strong organizational skills, and dedication.

Although the primary function of a scheduler is to coordinate the flow of patient care provided by our homecare teams, you are also a pivotal point of contact serving as our ambassador to clients, family members, CareSide Office Managers, Care Managers, and multidisciplinary team members. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills are needed to facilitate the flow of information between clients and all team members.

Our schedulers play an essential role in client satisfaction and must communicate sensitively and effectively with seniors and people of diverse backgrounds over the phone, respond promptly to calls from clients and families, communicate and document client challenges and concerns, follow up on client issues to ensure timely resolution, and share positive and constructive feedback to appropriate team members.

Highly developed administrative skills including computer literacy in common business applications, competency with database management, rostering and complex schedule planning of care services, and accurate record keeping are essential. You will work collaboratively with management and team members to improve office processes, increase workflow efficiency, maximize productivity, and ensure regulatory compliance.
